Let Go

Unless you can read minds, you may not always know why people do bad things. Guessing or assuming that their motives are evil merely adds extra misery to life. Assuming good intentions leaves you open to reconciliation. Clearly, this is not always the case. (How do you "reconcile" or forgive someone who harms a child? or takes the life of an innocent human being? ) Some relationships are - at the end of the day - simply not worth all the grief.
